Peter Do (@doxpeter) unveiled his fresh vision for @ヘルムート ラング today as the first official show of #NewYorkFashionWeek. The designer worked with writer Ocean Vuong to illustrate his thoughts this season, with Vuongs deeply emotive writing appearing both on the runway and across tees and shirting, and as the show’s soundtrack. Do grounded his vision in sharp and precise tailoring with a ‘90s edge, and rounded up his collection with deftly draped and tangled knits in vibrant colors. Amongst the many call backs to Helmut Lang’s original vision, Do had models wear headbands with their hair pulled back as they did in Lang’s own shows in the aughts.
