On Wednesday, September 20, join us at the Museum for The Oedipus Project, a dramatic live reading of Sophocles’ Oedipus the King by acclaimed actors followed by a guided audience-centered conversation about the climate crisis under the Blue Whale. As part of Climate Week NYC, The Oedipus Project will use the timeless themes of Sophocles’ ancient play as a powerful catalyst for conversations about the climate crisis, ecological disaster, and environmental justice.
This program will feature performances by Oscar Isaac, Amy Ryan, Liza Colón-Zayas, Anthony Edwards, Michael Stuhlbarg, Ato Blankson-Wood, Marjolaine Goldsmith, David Patrick Kelly, and Jumaane Williams. Tickets are free, but registration is required! Link in bio for more details.
