This year has been one of the hardest of my life, in every single category. The lows have been so low that it’s been difficult to come out of them to enjoy the highs. Something I’ve struggled with is the disappointment around not being able to pull myself out of bad head spaces because I’ve worked so hard in and out of counselling to improve my mental health. I feel like I “should” be able to rationalize, make myself feel better, and not fall into poor mental health habits. I can’t seem to celebrate the small wins lately, or show myself compassion. This is not to complain, but to remind myself that my mental and emotional health is meant to be ever changing, and I’ll never be able to achieve some impenetrable “perfect” mental state. While I work on the above, I’d love to know what your recent small win has been, or something you are looking forward to 🤍
