It’s rare to replicate the time capsule of starting your first band, but a lot of this experience felt like 15 year olds in their basement trying to figure it all out for the first time. Tons of exploration , terrible ideas, what the fuck are we doings…but all through , Lauren had a vision like few I’ve ever met and I feel so fortunate to have been riding shotgun. I’d call it the “solo era” but that suggests some sort of temporary stay, and instead I think we’re seeing an artist just beginning their most prolific years yet.
