There are moments when we're living our best life, and others when we're treading water while juggling business, babies, and everything else in between. This season brought a bundle of joy, a kindergartner off to new adventures, and the birth of our new book. Amidst the whirlwind of excitement, we've also learned that we have to make more time for each other – real, undivided time. And if you're feeling the same way, you're not alone. We're right there with you! Yesterday, a window of time opened up for us, and it reminded me of the importance of nurturing our connection. So, we decided to create a little couples challenge, an invitation for us + anyone as we transition into fall. It's beautifully simple:⁣⁣ 1. Sweat it out together: We're on a mission to get into our best shapes, so we're rocking the 'Apple Watch Buddies' gig. We track steps and cheer each other on. 2. Keep the flame alive: Intimacy is a priority. Three days is our cap for staying apart.🔥⁣⁣ 3. Turn-down ritual: When the little ones are snug in bed, it's our catch-up hour. Sometimes, it's quality time together, and on other days, a power hour to conquer pending tasks. But remember, setting a time limit is crucial! ⏰⁣ 4. Cooking: We're taking turns crafting delicious home-cooked meals, and whoever doesn't cook, dives into the cleaning duty (fair's fair, right?). Eating out? Totally allowed once a week! 🍽️⁣⁣ 5. Time for us: Whether it's a weekly or monthly affair, date nights are sacred. With kiddos in tow, we plan ahead for sitters, make reservations at our favorite spots, and make cherished memories. The goal is keeping the romance alive and making this season about connection, growth, and shared moments.
