At first i thought i wanted to do cashmere. my ex husband would always discourage me saying fashion is difficult. don’t do it. you will for sure loose money - so i thought he is right. Why would i do that. I will never succeed. Then things happened and i got divorced and one day I came across a pic of pablo picasso in a terry shirt. confident. Comfortable in his own skin. Free. I thought ok it’s time to start this line I was always thinking off. But I realized that in all these years the one that’s really discouraging me is no other then my own mind. I went through a spiritual journey of clearing my mind of old stories. Stepping out of that dark room I tried to keep myself in. The day i had a big break through i went downtown, looked for terry fabric and found a sewing studio and did my first item. That was 1 1/2 years ago. Things just kept rolling. I want to make pieces that people feel exactly that way that I thought pablo felt. How i feel now. I love the whole surf lifestyle, living in malibu and hawaii. So naturally I want to wear Terry everyday. I love being a little chic while on beach or after. It can be worn from night to day. I sleep in the terry. i go with it to dinner. I sit on the beach with it and dry myself of with it after surf. And still looking that little bit of chic. Everyday i have to make sure i don’t fall back of being scared of what i might not achieve or jumping over hurdles but i just trust that the process is the goal and there are no expectations. The bottom line is that I put all the integrity I have in there and let things just happen.
