ステファニア・ラビー・オーウェンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ステファニア・ラビー・オーウェンInstagram)「🖤💛 SAG on STRIKE 💛🖤 What do we want? ✨ Below are some of the things we are fighting for ✨ 🪄fair wages for actors, writers, dancers, stunt coordinators, singers 🪄 protection of our images from AI (studios want to have the ability to scan our images and then use our image in film and tv for the rest of eternity without consent) 🪄protection for background actors who have to make their own way to work waiting for public transportation in the early hours of the morning in dangerous places 🪄 hair and make up consultations for actors and making sure they have the right equipment for all hair and make up types 🪄compensation for actors who have to do their own hair and makeup before arriving to work and who have to bring their own clothes and get them cleaned 🪄 new contracts that reflect the new streaming model (some contracts haven’t been changed since 1970s when streaming wasn’t around - so streamers are raking in most of the money when the people in our union are working our butts off and getting payed less. This will get worse if contracts don’t change 🪄 Residual compensation - when tv and film were being broadcasted on live TV, anytime a show or film was played, Union members would get payed - the more plays the more money we would get in the form of Residuals. But now with streamers like Netflix, Amazon, Disney, NBC (members of the AMPTP) are paying the actors and writers minuscule amounts of money even though shows are being viewed more than ever before. Instead the big boys are funneling in money for the companies 🪄 I want to say I am very GRATEFUL for the work that I do and appreciate working with these companies (shout out to my most recent employer Netflix ❤️) but we need fair compensation, protections and more support.
