Inspired by equality, water, and peacefulness, the torch sees symmetrical measurements both horizontally and vertically. Water references the Seine River that runs through the City of Light, and is reflected through the 3D and vibrating effects on the torch, reproducing the ripples and movements of water. Lastly, peacefulness is referenced through its curvy shape to embody gentleness, generosity, and solidarity.⁠ ⁠ A total of 2,000 Paris 2024 Olympic Torches will be manufactured, which is five times less than previous editions in order to reduce production impact.
