In 2015, Brian named James Jamerson as his favorite bassist. James was the uncredited bassist on most of the Motown Records hits in the 1960s and early 1970s, and played on his brother Dennis’ Pacific Ocean Blue album. James is regarded as one of the most influential bass players in modern music history.
