Reunited with my @iamginatorres on the picket line. There was a lot of kissing. And I will keep meeting her and kissing her on the picket line until we get a fair deal for all our @sagaftra (and @wgaeast @wgawest) brothers and sisters. Even though I chose to post the lighthearted bits…make no mistake, this is a fight for the dignity and future of our industry, the right to make a decent wage that is commensurate with our value to the business, the right to participate in the success of our work (I’m looking at you streamers who buy out our residuals and exclusively hold us for YEARS between seasons), the right to care for our families by earning enough to have health coverage (again with the erasure of residuals and ever shorter seasons and longer contractual holds keeping us hostage without the freedom to seek other work), and the right to create a path forward for future generations (how ‘bout when actors are “relocated”, even tho you know we can’t relocate full time to Canada for example, we simply receive adequate financial support in temporarily moving our lives abroad, and reasonable guard rails against a future where our work and likeness is fed to AI and used without consent and compensation). Our solidarity is stronger than their corporate greed. #unionstrong #sagaftra
