The #AMPTP Studios want to pay a one time $200 payment to scan all background actors and then Studios OWN the AI version of that actor forever.
Studios can use it, however, they want. They can put an actor in a project they would never want to do, make them say things they never would say! Control their likeness and image forever.
This will end the ability of real life humans to earn a living. Same for the writers!
How cruel and inhumane is that?
@sagaftra will NOT allow that to happen. No Union will allow its members to be paid that measly fee and be out of work forever. There need to be protections! There need to be laws & regulations.
Left unchecked we are all eventually going to be out of work. Actors AND writers just happen to be on the front lines at the moment. Ultimately this will be a fight for almost anyone in a field that multibillion dollar corporations will want to squeeze us humans out so they can keep reporting record profits.
No matter who it hurts!
