To participate, Mei Xiang voluntarily enters a chute, places her arm through a small window and holds on to a bar underhanded for a few moments. Similar to blood pressure tests for humans, these exams involve placing a blood pressure cuff around the arm of the panda. Then, the machine squeezes the panda’s arm to get the reading.
