Although their numbers are up, not all is well for the Jaguar, rapid deforestation in the South American jungles are destroying their habitat every day, pushing them closer to humans, causing that human animal conflict and unfortunately many are killed just for coming too close, hunting livestock on farms and for the black market trade of their body parts. The wild that once existed is no more, that’s why having a genetic bank in captivity is so important for all species to
ensure their survival!”
