河瀬直美さんのインスタグラム写真 - (河瀬直美Instagram)「多分ねわたし夏の始まりを予感する東京の気配を感じるこれからの人生できっと忘れない日々をあの夏過ごしてた。 2週間後に始まるオリンピックを目前にトリトンスクエアの高層階で深夜までスタッフと集い映画を創っていたこと。忘れない。羽田へ向かうタクシーの中でいまさっきふと、そんなことを思った。だから、運転手さんに『オリンピックってなんだったんでしょうね』って聞いたら『忘れちゃったよ』って。誰かにとっての『忘れられないコト』と違う誰かの『忘れてしまうほどのコト』の間にはこれほどの差があるんだと、笑っちゃった。そうして静かにかみしめた。七夕の昨夜は東京タワーの見える場所におもむいて短冊をつるした。たくさんのひとがいて、その中に紛れて歩いていたら『なおみ監督！』と呼ばれて振り返ると綺麗な女性が優しそうな彼氏？と一緒にいた。『10代の頃、ほんとにしんどかったから、２つ目の窓を見て、救われたんです。本当にありがとうございました。なおみ監督らしく映画🎬これからも創ってくださいね』って、涙ぐみながら話してくれた。七夕にこんな素敵な言霊が届いた。創った映画で誰かを救うコトができてたのかもしれない…と想うと、わたしはやっぱり映画を創りたい。そして、こんなわたしが誰かの何かになれるなら、精一杯生きていようと想う。最後まであきらめずに誰かに届くコトを信じて創ったオリンピックの映画は観てもらえた人が少なくて、届けられないことが辛くて、もうダメなんだな…って思って、これ以上映画を創りたいと思えずに過ごしたこの一年が、今日からのわたしを少し前に向かわせる、そんな出来事。わたしはここにいるよみつけてくれてありがとう That summer I spent days I won’t forget for the rest of my life. Two weeks before the start of the Olympics, on a high floor in Triton Square I gathered with our staff late into the night and was making the film. I won’t forget it. On my way to Haneda in a taxi, that just crossed my mind. So I asked the driver, “I wonder…what were the Olympics?” and they said, “I forgot.” This difference between something “unforgettable” for one person and something “that can be forgotten” for another person made me laugh. And then I kept quiet. Last night was Tanabata When I was walking in a crowd, someone called out, “Director Naomi!”, and I turned around. “My teenage years were really difficult, and I watched Still the Water, and was saved. Thank you so much. It’s very much a Director Naomi film. 🎬 Please make more.” she said, holding back tears. A film I made saved someone…thinking about that, I remembered that I want to make films. And, if I can be something for someone else, I feel I want to live to my fullest. An Olympic film I never gave up on, believing I could deliver and create it.
