You should visit this breathtaking place this weekend! 📚 The Grand Hall of the @nationalbibliothek certainly lives up to its name. At almost 80 meters long and 20 meters in height, it's truly a temple of knowledge. Built in the 18th century as part of the former Court Library, its elaborately decorated dome, numerous frescoes, towering bookshelves with their typical sliding ladders, and gold ornamentation create an opulent setting for the historic treasures it holds. 😍 It houses more than 200,000 volumes dating from 1501 to 1850. 📖 by @bilder_schmiede #ViennaNow
