“Myth 1: You should come to your appointment with dirty hair❌

I’m so sorry to break it to you but this is Not true!! I don’t know how this got started but you should come to your appointment with clean hair. Dirty hair can cause a barrier and make it difficult for lightener or color to penetrate the hair. All that buildup, dry shampoo, grease, temporary root spray can make it difficult for lightener/color to lift through. Note: That doesn’t mean you have to wash your hair the day of your appointment. Washing it a day or two before your appointment is perfectly fine.

✨If your unsure about when to wash I would recommend checking with your stylist to see what they recommend.

Myth 2: Your hair will grow if you don’t cut it ❌

If you want your hair to grow and not split up the hair shaft you need cut it on average every 3 months

Myth 3: Purple Shampoo make your hair lighter ❌

The fact is purple shampoo is not going to make your hair any lighter or brighter it is only meant to color correct any yellow tones.”
