In the first shot I’m with her gorgeous grandson @sebastianodf We all (young and old) loved this film so much…and we are not alone..this series by @natgeo received an unheard of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes!!! It’s the story of the remarkably brave young carefree girl who worked as a secretary for Anne Frank’s father Otto Frank. She never thought twice about risking her own life when he asked her if she would help him hide his family from the Nazis. Without hesitation and with so much heart soul grace and even humor she shouldered all the layers and heaps of responsibility on her tiny shoulders. Miep Gies, is a heroine I can’t believe we haven’t heard of before ..we’ll at least I hadn’t…and I’m so glad we can all be inspired by her now! She’s portrayed to perfection by an actress we all fell in love with on The Morning Show, ( remember she loved the weatherman) Bell Powley is charming and radiant and vulnerable and vibrant and that’s just a fraction of her luminous presence.
