Shanée (she/her) is an art director and illustrator from Brooklyn, NY focusing on gen-z and millennial content. With almost a decade of design experience, Shanée made the leap into digital illustration, focusing on passionately telling the stories of LGBTQIA+ black and brown folks. Creating community and connection through art is her passion.

Here’s what Shanée (@shaneebenjamin) had to say about what #Pride means to her, “Pride means the ability to be authentically me and love freely.” As for her design, she says it features a “painterly effect that shows how our communities intersect and come together by combining Pride, Bisexual, Lesbian, Trans, and Pan flag colours together!”
