Demeulemeester, on the other hand, is a patron saint for if-you-know-you-know style disciples, with her pan-generational cult flocking to her for clothes that ooze dark romance and punkish glamour. “The way that I looked at it, I was trying to bind myself with Ann’s heritage and legacy; to be very respectful of her work but also be daring with it and make it my own,” explains Ludovic, in an interview with i-D which was conducted before his recent departure from the house.
