In 1979, President Jimmy Carter designated June as Black Music Month which makes it an appropriate time to especially honor Tina Turner, whose recent passing was an immeasurable loss. Tina’s personal story was one of triumph. Her career spanning more than half a century was an amazing musical journey of accomplishments and contributions, including when she joined Michael and 44 other star vocalists on USA for Africa’s “We Are the World” charity single. #BlackMusicMonth
