As many of you already know, I’ve cycled from Atlanta to Miami on 2 occasions but as I understood all the change it could manifest in anyone that encountered it, I was left with the urge to make the ride something that can continue to give back. On Sunday May 13th 2023, after a year and a half of constant work with @experience818events on our nonprofit @officiala2mia to benefit mental health and talking to what felt like a zillion people to make a 17-day 2-state cycling journey possible, myself and 9 other ambitious humans crossed the finish line in Miami after cycling 777 miles from Atlanta, Georgia. Through many fall and injuries, rain and extreme heat, debilitating emotions and uplifting encouragement, each person on our trip prevailed and now embody stories that words could never fully describe and experienced places you can only see to feel. They rode through locations and learned lessons that only a bike can gift to you all while raising over $10K to aid families struggling with mental health. We were taken in by many churches, schools and community centers along the way. We were supported by amazing people who understood our vision and wanted to add their imprint to The Journey 2 Purpose.
