I’m sure you’ve heard by now that @bigshotseries will be taken off @disneyplus on May 26th. I’m saddened the first queer kiss on Disney+ will be removed right before Pride Month. I’m equally saddened that Disney+’s only scripted show about women in sports will be gone. There’s something especially painful that in a time when womxn’s rights are being targeted and taken away, a show ABOUT women is taken away from the viewers. But I’m trying to focus on the positives. When the world unraveled, we made something special. We showed up for work each day, in the middle of a pandemic, with no vaccines available, risking our lives, and by extension, the lives of our loved ones, and we made something special. We made memories- good, and bad, and absolutely terrifying. And we made stories that, I for one, am damn proud of. More than that, we made history - here’s looking at you, ‘Everything to Me’. The thing about history is, yes, it can be buried. Yes, it can be denied. But it can NEVER be erased. TCKS
