雪形が山名の由来
「爺ヶ岳」

大町市と富山県にまたがる
「爺ヶ岳（じいがたけ）」

北峰・本峰・南峰の3峰からなる
北アルプスの山です🏔🏔🏔

毎年5月頃から山肌に
“種まきするお爺さん”の雪形が現れることから
「爺ヶ岳」と名付けられたそうですよ👀✨️

Mt. Jiigatake
(Omachi City; Tateyama Town, Toyama Pref.)

Mt. Jiigatake straddles the border of Omachi City in Nagano and Tateyama Town in Toyama.

This mountain is part of the Northern Japanese Alps and is made up of three individual peaks.

Mt. Jiigatake gets its name from the snowy shapes that appear on the mountain in May. The shape resembles an old man, or “ojiisan,” sowing seeds, so the mountain was called Jiigatake.

*When entering the mountains, be sure to bring appropriate clothing and hiking gear and give yourself plenty of time to reach your destination.
