"She taught me how to draw one afternoon in her studio down the road from my parents house in the UK – mostly by giving me the space and the tools. It takes a certain kind of fire to go cold water swimming in lakes in the middle of winter, a sense of humour and endurance. Rosa has a strong connection to her body, and that can be felt in her sculptures and their curves. Her work is deeply intuitive – when the body knows what it is doing it can work without instruction. When writing on her performance art, Carolee Schneemann writes - “my body is a tool”.
