We picked the name Asiana — ‘Asian-A’ — for our SRG since the last ‘A’ can represent a variety of things: ancestry, advocacy, artists, allies, and awesomeness, to name a few. Asiana is an umbrella group containing several smaller groups, including Desi (for Southeast Asians) and Laksar (for Malaysians/Singaporeans).
