She crossed into Egypt following continued fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.  In the third image, evacuees gaze from the cargo hold of a Kenya Defense Forces plane that has just landed in Nairobi from nearby Sudan on April 24. The Sudanese capital, Khartoum, erupted nine days earlier in intense fighting led by rival generals, forcing embassies to evacuate and thousands to flee across borders to safety.
