Wishing a happy birthday to Jenny Saville (@jennysavilleofficial), who was born on this day, May 7, in Cambridge, England! Saville is known for monumental portraits and figures that explore the aesthetic potential of the human form in energetic and sensuous impressions of surface, line, and mass.

On the occasion of her birthday, we’re highlighting Saville’s new painting, “Song of Songs,” which was commissioned by the Fredriksen Family Collection, in collaboration with the National Museum of Norway (@nasjonalmuseet).
