The epithet ‘Pur Sang’ means thoroughbred in French and stands for what Ettore Bugatti called the essence of his automobiles. Launched in 2007 on a super exclusive five-unit-only production run, the ‘Pur Sang’ has been sold out within one day. Its aesthetic ethos caters to one of the most important elements of BUGATTI’s design heritage: the iconic duo-tone-arrangement. But instead of two painting colors, two pure materials were used: visible carbon fibre and aluminium, both of which serve to emphatically emphasise the shape, lines and sculpture of the profile.
