For photographer Greg Williams, the best awards season moments are captured behind the scenes. From Saoirse Ronan FaceTiming her mom to Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara enjoying a vegan burger break, Williams catches moments no other photographer can.

“It’s rare that my pictures hold someone up," Williams tells VF. "It’s more that I’m trying to show the person behind the personality, rather than the screen siren or the matinee idol.”
