Measuring over five metres long, this scroll shows Ge Hong – a famous Daoist who lived in the 3rd–4th century AD, and is newly on display in The Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery of China and South Asia as part of our Spring rotation 🖌 Ge Hong famously packed up all his possessions and family and moved to a mountain retreat to try to become a Daoist Immortal.
