After graduating from the @DesignAcademyEindhoven and studying at the @RoyalCollegeofArt in London, Humeau has had a string of institutional shows in quick succession: Lafayette Anticipations, Palais de Tokyo, Jeu de Paume in Paris, New Museum in New York and several other artistically-respected spaces. For her latest works, ‘Orisons,’ she carefully works with the ecosystem of the San Luis Valley, considering the affects of agrictultral design and climate change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On the inspiration and growth of ‘Orisons,’ Marguerite says, “The area is immense— it’s almost a kilometer [over half a mile] in diameter. My idea for the project was to bring the water back, like a mirage or an ancient memory for the future, or even the near present, when the rain isn’t fall ing anymore.
