Last week we shared the heartbreaking story of Gunther and Luke, both sexual assault survivors (see link in bio for more details and charges being formally brought against their abuser). The first care packages from @welovecuddly arrived for these two sweet pups! We are overwhelmed by and appreciative of everyone’s generosity and compassion for Gunther and Luke. Gunther loves taking rides in the truck with his foster dad. His foster parents discovered he knows many commands in German. He is a completely different dog than when he first arrived – relaxed, happy, and at peace. He is just learning to play with toys for the first time in his life. Little Luke is doing well, with no more seizures and seems to have recovered well from the bronchitis. The plan is to wean him off the medications next week and see how he does from there. We’ve got everything crossed that he will continue this healing momentum and be able to lead a normal life. He is proof that your prayers, thoughts, jingles, whatever you’re sending out into the atmosphere works. The trauma inflicted on Luke and Gunther is beyond comprehension.
