Trains stop at Takeo Station for only a few minutes a day. Some passengers get off the train to get something to drink or eat, while others get off to smoke. Most passengers get back on the train when the whistle blows and continue on to Kampot or Sihanoukville. Some people live in the station where hundreds of passengers stop for just a few minutes during the day.
