Our children's book, "How Lucky Am I?", is hitting bookshelves in Spring 2024! 😭 The idea for the book came to us when we accidentally trapped a little fly in our freezer while cooking one day. Mark, being the literal angel human that he is, insisted on setting him free, saying "they don't have very long lives as it is 🥺." Then we started wondering…”Wait…what is the shortest-living creature on Earth?” We discovered it's the Mayfly, whose life cycle lasts almost ✨exactly 24 hours✨. So we decided to write a sweet story following a curious little Mayfly who embarks on adventures, finds love, and learns to make the most of his very brief time here. We got to work with the unbelievably talented illustrator, Steph Lew (stephlewart) She absolutely crushed it and brought our tiny lil bug pal to life in the most magical way possible. HUGE thank you to the Henry Holt/Macmillan team @kate_a_farrell @annmarie.wong for believing in us and guiding us every step of the way.
