So… 16 years ago today, I witnessed the birth of my 2nd child. Another son as I prayed he would be…. Beautiful & healthy is all I asked God for and that’s exactly what I got. I can remember waiting anxiously for Dr. Umba to pull you all the way out into the world so I could check to make sure “The Nose” was there… It was lol

I held you in my arms for the 1st time & I instantly knew you would be an amazing child. The energy behind those big brown eyes were a window into your future at that very moment.

Every single year that I have celebrated you on this day has been nothing short of a blessing as I always knew you’d be a reflection of your parents love & a glowing soul to all who enter your life. Sometimes I stare at you when you’re not looking & you catch me & say “Sup Dad” & I simply reply… “Nothing, I just love you son”.

16 years old… how ? Why so fast ? Why the deep voice ? Why you so tall now ?? Where did my little friend go ? The one who knew every word to every song who would be like “Dad, watch this…” n just jump in the air & spin like you did sumn kool lmaoooo….. my best friend. The effortlessly kool one of the bunch & everyone who knows you knows that if you’re around, it’s going to be a good day.

I love you son… it’s the kind of love that I can only wish every father has for their child. The kool part about you is YOU’RE MINE !!!
