The thinking was that if they were having a bad day/ just happened to be a jerk that it would forever impact how you heard their music. I worked there for two years and took the advice and as a result didn’t get to meet so many incredible legends. Example: I was given the opportunity to hang out with Any Winehouse for the afternoon and I said no. Bonkers. When I moved to LA, I decided if I got the opportunity to interview Amy again I would. And we all know what happened… So I made the decision to throw that advice out the window and as a result I have met the most amazing humans. Example: I am a HUGE fan of @floriasigismondi and was offered a commercial with her directing and I said yes… truly one of the best experiences of my life that pushed me way out of my comfort zone (photo above taken during the shoot where we streamed the commercial completely LIVE and I wore no pants 😬) Pure fear based worst case scenario thinking vs whatevs let’s go for it lurve based thinking.
