Atera Gorge
(Okuwa Town)

The Atera River flows through rocky Atera Gorge.

The crystal-clear water’s emerald green hue is known as “Atera Blue,” and remains vibrant and translucent even in the river’s deepest areas.

Beautiful forests of Kiso’s precious Kiso Gomoku trees flank the river, and there are trekking trails through them as well.
