It’s hard to understate the influence of Mad Magazine and in particular Al Jaffee. Al’s death at the young age of 102 really got me thinking about how much Mad Magazine shaped my sense of humor. I had so many issues and Mad books, I especially loved the Al Jaffee meets Willie Weirdie series. It’s surreal to be in the middle of filming my own ultimate horror movie and see how influential this issue was, down to the dripping blood font. The seed for @thanksgivingmovie was likely planted the day I read this issue. RIP #AlJaffee
