Ice Palace is the only skating rink in Hawaii and it was closed for 3 years during the pandemic. Even though the rink was closed, the skaters still found ways to practice—by skating on plastic ice outdoors. It was wonderful to meet the Ice Palace community and hear about their passion and commitment to the sport. Mahalo for welcoming us so warmly to the island (with leis, coffee, donuts, pastries, and jerky) AND for showing up to our @amazingaapi signing at @bnalamoana later that afternoon.
