On April 3, we announced the team of space explorers that will embark on the first crewed Artemis mission around the Moon and back in 2024: @NASAAstronauts Reid Wiseman, @AstroVicGlover, and @Astro_Christina, and @CanadianSpaceAgency astronaut @AstroJeremy. Today, they’re taking your questions live. In 2022, the uncrewed Artemis I mission successfully tested our deep exploration systems — SLS, Orion, and @NASAKennedy’s Exploration Ground Systems — with a 25.5-day journey around the Moon and back to Earth. Artemis II will launch the Orion spacecraft aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket on a 10-day mission to test the Orion spacecraft’s life-support systems. With #Artemis, we will land the first woman and first person of color on the lunar surface.
