The collaboration between Dior’s @クリスチャンディオール Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri @mariagraziachiur and Mumbai-based Chanakya School of Embroidery continues.

Karishma Swali @karishmaswali77, Artistic Director of Chanakya @chanakya.school, and Chiuri have been loyal friends for more than 30 years, sharing the same sense of excellence and the will to preserve the diverse craft of embroidery. Together, they explore the multiple techniques of this extraordinary art, which draws on heritage and innovation to accompany Dior's collections and shows.The school supports and accompanies Indian women by offering them a new autonomy in local communities and promoting invaluable processes such as hand embroidery. The students practice the many techniques required to become master embroiderers and forge new links between the savoir-faire of ancestral traditions and cutting-edge innovation.
