It’s the most amazing feeling to be seeing progress again in competition. This weekend I’m most proud of beam. Placing 3rd on day one after only being back on beam for a few months post injury fills me with a lot of confidence for later in the year and it’s been so difficult for me to get beam back. I pulled out of the beam final today because my achilles is still in recovery and beam is still challenging for me at the moment. With Europeans so close I made the decision to protect my ankle. The human in me is over the moon the be back doing what I love on bars and placing first both days means the world to me. The athlete in me is disappointed I didn’t deliver the routine I’ve been training for on either day and as much as I’ll take all the positives, I know how much work still needs to be done over the next few weeks to bring my best for the team at the Europeans.
