Based on this journal entry from the morning of Day Two its fair to say that we found it: “I didn’t know a place like this existed in the U.S. It feels like we’re in the Namibian desert… The North flank of the dunes is covered in snow, the sunny side is glowing orange in the evening sun, and the wintering cottonwoods add a surreal touch to this scene. There is no man-made feature to be seen except for the two vehicles that got us here. Where will we camp tonight?”
