大塚良子さんのインスタグラム写真 - (大塚良子Instagram)「待ち焦がれていたダイニングテーブルが届きました。理想を追い求めるほどしっかり価格も高くなるテーブル。せっかく良いものを買うならこの先、何年、何十年と価値あるものを探したいと思い既成のものからヴィンテージへ方向転換。 3ヶ月悩んだ末に決めたのはエリザベスチェアでも名高い Ib Kofod-Larsen（イヴ・コフォード・ラーセン）の Danish Mid Century Modern Dining Table サイン入り、1960年代のもの Kofod-Larsen作品はどれも余計な装飾を加えずローズウッドの美しい杢目とデザインを活かしたものが多くミニマルで実用的なうえ硬くて頑丈。最後までHans J. WegnerのAT-303と悩みましたが決め手は木材の種類乾いた風が合う今の部屋からもう少し湿度を感じる重みのある部屋にしていきたかったのでローズウッドの青紫がかった深い茶色の木肌つるんとした質感がイメージにピッタリ 2017年にローズウッド属の木材がワシントン条約の規制対象となったそうでローズウッド材の家具は規制以前に作られたものしか手に入れることは出来ないというのも希少価値があると見込んで、もはや投資的家具の購入ですモダンな花器や小物を合わせることでヴィンテージならではの良さが一層引き立ちクラシックに偏らない良いバランスの部屋に、大きな木のある家で暮らすことを夢見て当分はそんな気分を味わいながらこのテーブルを大切にしていきたい。 The dining table that I have been eagerly waiting for has arrived. As I seek more perfection, the price of the table also increases. If I am going to invest in a good one, I want it to be something of value for many years to come. After 3 months of deliberation, then I finally decided on the Danish Mid Century Modern Dining Table designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen, renowned for his Elizabeth chair. It's a signed piece from the 1960s, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Kofod-Larsen's works often showcase the beauty of rosewood grain and design without added embellishments, resulting in minimalist and practical pieces.I was also considering the AT-303 by Hans J. Wegner until the very end, but ultimately I was swayed by the size, design and, most importantly, the type of wood used. I wanted to make my room feel a bit more cozy and humid than it currently is, and I found that the deep blue and black tones of rosewood fit my vision perfectly. The smooth surface of the wood adds to the overall feel I'm going for. Since all rosewood species were added to the list of protected species under the Washington Convention in 2017, furniture made of rosewood timber that was produced before the regulation has become more valuable and sought-after. If you mix in some modern flower vases and accessories, it can really make the vintage items stand out even more.
