In this series, we’re sharing some tasty snacks and easy, family-friendly recipes that you can recreate at home using typical household ingredients that are usually thrown away.
 
Here’s Martyn’s simple Garlic & Rosemary White Bean Dip recipe, perfect for using up all the goodies left in the back of your cupboards… and that make everyone at home say “yum!”

Recipe:
 
Ingredients

6 garlic cloves
2 sprigs of rosemary
100ml light Olive oil
1 tin of beans (cannellini, butter beans, pinto bean, chickpeas)
1 lemon (zest and juice)
1 tsp smoked paprika
Salt & Pepper

Method

Peel and slice the garlic in half and add to a saucepan with roughly chopped rosemary and olive oil, gently simmer for 10-15 minutes until the garlic is just turning soft.

You will now have an amazing infused oil.

Blitz drained beans in a food processor, using a little of the oil, softened garlic, paprika and water from the drained beans to get a nice creamy texture. Have a taste and season with salt and lemon.
