Back in 2020, @CTAOP and I – alongside @CAREORG and @EIFOUNDATION– gathered a group of stellar women together in a rallying cry against the global epidemic of gender-based violence - as old as humankind, getting worse in the age of COVID, and always, always, always intolerable. We raised our voices and awareness and supported some incredible community-based organizations around the world. Globally, an estimated 736 million women – almost 1 in 3 – have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by a partner or non-partner. While so much has changed in the past three years, too much hasn’t. Yet like the women before us, we will not lose hope. Let’s continue to use the power of our voices. Let’s support female leaders.
