I discovered this NGO more than 20 years ago in Normandy when I was in high school at the boarding school. I met the founders, Christian and Marie-France des Pallieres, in Granville during a screening of their tour of France in a van in 2001, and I remember this documentary which made me very aware of how lucky I was to be in France, and having exchanged with Christian about my parents who settled in Cherbourg when they arrived in France. Unfortunately Christian passed away in 2016 in Phnom Penh, and I have also been a donor since 2011. When PSE asked me at the end of 2022 if I would be interested in doing a photo documentary as part of an exhibition, immediately agreed. I dedicate this series to Christian, to the women and children of the world.
