"My son doesn't differentiate between female and male superheroes. It's all about their capabilities, their power, their personality, what they contribute and how cool they are. When I was growing up, it wasn't like that at all; if you asked a little boy what superhero they would want to be, there is no way he would say Wonder Woman. She was so sexualized and such the embodiment of male fantasies of a woman, that a boy could instinctively know there was a weakness there, and that he wanted no part of that.
