Letter to Siam : RIP my beautiful boy. Although my heart is broken, I’m happy you don’t have to endure anymore suffering in this world. The last few weeks have been hard to watch you wither away from the proud, strong and confident lion you always were, to the weak, frail and fragile cat I didn’t recognize. You were such a good boy and never gave a days trouble in all the 18 and a half years I had the privilege of being your friend. Cancer sucks and doesn’t discriminate. It seems to be more prevalent these days or maybe I’m just more aware of it because it’s hitting closer and closer to home. You will be sorely missed by everyone whose life you touched. Your death has hit hard and will leave an open wound for some time. I do take some solace in knowing that you are now free from the enslavement of humans. I tried my best to be a good prison warden and give you the most enriched life away from the wild. I know you knew that. We had some really good times together.
