Opening Feb 14 2023 ONE TRICK PONY LA is pleased to present "RETURN TO STONER FOREST"; new sculptural work, works on paper and a limited edition screen-print by LA-based Artist GEOFF MCFETRIDGE. @onetrickponygallery @plateload

Inspired by a somewhat long-dormant image from the artist's distinct and storied iconography, "STONER FOREST" is a visual meditation of humankind's on-going, often precarious, even fraught relationship with nature which we endlessly imbue with a sense of menace for reasons that remain seemingly locked within some larger, possibly consumer-afflicted agenda.

"I like to draw things that are on the edge of real, familiar but invented. I like images that, like cryptoids, are clearly defined but exist just outside of real-things," reckons the Artist. 

Please join us for the opening reception of "Return To Stoner Forest", February 14th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, the show will mark Mr. McFetridge's first solo exhibit in Los Angeles in nearly two decades, the city where he's lived and worked since some time in the 1990's.
